Improv Jam: Playing with the Tough Stuff – Sunday Jan. 29, 2017

Calling all dancers, musicians, actors, and regular folks interested in the art of improvisation as a survival strategy when tough stuff happens –

The theater company, “Second City” and the TV show, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” have demonstrated the fun to be had in making stuff up in the moment and on the spot. But the value of improv is more than just “going for the joke.” Our improv troupe Wing & A Prayer Pittsburgh Players uses InterPlay, an improvisational art system based in dance. We add song, story and stillness to play with difficult situations and address challenging scenarios. We’ll be joined by other Pittsburgh improv artists who use systems based in dance, music and theater.
